Must Know Marketing Trends for Soulful Entrepreneurs in 2024

The marketing landscape online has been in a state of change the past few years, really since the pandemic.  If you’re in my world you’ve probably heard me say “it’s like someone threw the marketing puzzle up in the air, and it landed with all the pieces in different places”. Well friends, 2024 will be no different!

The great thing about this though is that the rules are off, there is no “one right way” to do things anymore. It’s about finding what works for you, your audience, and doing that.

That said, there is a lot of change in marketing in 2024 and here are a few things you need to know about.  In this blog I’ll share the ones I think will help you drive your business forward this year and get better traction. So let’s dive in!

1. AI will dominate

You saw this happening last year and it will continue this year.  What this means for your business though, is the quality of your content needs to improve. AI can duplicate your “three steps to this”, “five ways to that” value posts in milliseconds, and you’ll see more and more accounts using this content.

What will stand out instead is having your own voice, sharing what you think and letting your audience get to know you.  So be sure to focus on that type of content in your marketing.

2. Your Brand Is Key

Your personal brand will be a priority like never before.  Your brand is so much more than your logo, your colours or your website! Your brand needs to embody your values, your mission, who you are and what you stand for. The businesses that do this well, will stand in out 2024.

3. Video Marketing is non negotiable

Well, if you want to grow and get traction, it is.  If you want a business that grows online you can no longer hide behind your logo or great stock images. People need to see you to connect with you and remember, people buy from people.  Can you avoid video marketing? Sure, but you may find your business treads water this. So jump in and just start using it.

4. Social Media will change

This is just my personal hunch, but we’ve seen the algorithyms getting harder and harder to navigate and big brands have been leaving social media platforms. I expect in an effort to lure them back, the algorithm will become a bit for fair, or at least a bit more balance. It’s either that, or the platforms will start to die a death and in 10 years from now, people will be asking what social media was.

5. Embrace New Audiences & New Options

This is the year to try new things and embrace new platforms.  If you’ve thought about branching out to YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest or something else, this is the time to try.  

The biggest take away I want you to have today, is permission to do it YOUR WAY.  Create a plan that suits you, show up in the places your audience are and find ways to enjoy marketing your business. Showing up as authentically as yourself is the key to getting traction in 2024.
