Why The Podcast Is Evolving
If you’ve been following along for a while, you may have noticed that the podcast has a new name and a fresh new look.
Welcome to The Abundant Practitioner podcast.
While the artwork and branding have changed, the reason behind the shift is actually much simpler than a rebrand.
It’s about making sure the content continues to meet practitioners where they are right now.
Why The Name Changed
Interestingly, this podcast was always intended to become The Abundant Practitioner.
When I wrote my book, The Abundant Healer, the original working title was actually The Abundant Practitioner. The word “practitioner” simply proved too long and awkward for a book cover, so we landed on The Abundant Healer instead.
At the same time, I was building a brand called WellRising — a name I genuinely love and one that has become increasingly associated with my patient community and the work happening through Health Haven.
As that side of the ecosystem continued to grow, it became clear that WellRising was naturally finding its place within the patient and chronic illness space.
The podcast, however, serves a different audience.
It serves practitioners.
And the more I reflected on it, the more obvious it became that The Abundant Practitioner was exactly where this podcast belonged.
Because at its core, that’s what this work has always been about.
Helping practitioners build successful, sustainable practices that support their lives — rather than building businesses that consume them.
The Industry Has Changed
Like many of you, I’ve spent a lot of time this year listening.
Listening to practitioners.
Listening to clinic owners.
Listening to the concerns, frustrations and challenges people are navigating right now.
And one thing has become very clear.
The market in 2026 feels different.
We’re navigating cost-of-living pressures, changing client behaviour, increased competition and a level of uncertainty that many practitioners haven’t experienced before.
While leadership, growth and long-term vision remain important conversations, they’re not always the most urgent conversations.
Many practitioners aren’t asking how to scale.
They’re asking how to create more consistent enquiries.
How to generate reliable revenue.
How to simplify their business.
How to avoid burnout.
How to know where to focus their energy.
Those are the conversations we need to be having right now.
Returning To Practical Conversations
Moving forward, you’ll notice a shift back towards practical, grounded conversations that can be applied immediately.
We’ll still discuss bigger-picture business topics.
We’ll still talk about growth, leadership and long-term strategy.
But we’ll also return to the foundations.
The things that make a real difference inside a practice every week:
-
Client attraction
-
Marketing that feels authentic
-
Practice growth
-
Revenue and profitability
-
Boundaries and capacity
-
Practitioner wellbeing
-
Simplifying business
-
Building practices that genuinely work
Because right now, that’s where the greatest need exists.
Introducing The Practitioner Pulse
One of the additions I’m most excited about is a new monthly feature called The Practitioner Pulse.
Each month, I’ll be sharing what I’m seeing across the practitioner landscape.
We’ll explore:
-
Current industry trends
-
Practitioner challenges
-
Market observations
-
Client behaviour shifts
-
Emerging opportunities
-
Practical actions practitioners can take
The goal isn’t to create fear or panic. It’s to provide perspective.
Because understanding what’s happening around us helps us make better decisions within our practices.
Alongside the monthly podcast episodes, we’ll also be introducing Practitioner Pulse Live — a quarterly live session where practitioners can join the conversation, ask questions and explore what’s happening in the industry together.
What Isn’t Changing
While the name has changed, the heart of this work hasn’t.
You’ll still find:
-
Practical advice
-
Honest conversations
-
Straight-talking insights
-
Real-world practitioner experience
-
No hype
-
No fluff
-
No pretending business is easier than it is
My goal remains the same as it has always been: to help practitioners build practices that genuinely work — for their clients, their families and their lives.
Because being an abundant practitioner isn’t about being the busiest practitioner.
It’s about building something meaningful, sustainable and successful on your own terms.
And that’s the conversation we’ll continue having here.
Thanks for being part of the journey,
Cass xo
